RH Sydney Co-Curricular and Extra Curricular Activities

Discover Your Passions with our Inspiring Extra-Curricular Activities

Our school provides students with many experiences in daily life; however, it is beyond the classroom where strength of character is built and tomorrow's citizens are forged.

Our Extra-Curricular Activities Programme offers a tremendous range of enriching activities which are available to students of all ages. Individuals are encouraged to find a particular area of interest that helps them develop the personal qualities, attitudes and skills that will complement their academic success.

In addition to after-school and afternoon clubs, Extra-Curricular activities and enrichment programmes, students enjoy residential visits and field trips that provide abundant opportunities to see the world from different angles and inspire young minds on their learning journey.

Our students are offered a rich tapestry of experiences designed to build strength of character, resilience, and a sense of community. Through a vast and vibrant Extra-Curricular Activities Program, students of all ages are encouraged to discover passions that complement their academic pursuits—whether in the arts, leadership, outdoor education, or sport.

Sport at Reddam is not compulsory, yet each week, hundreds of students choose to participate with energy and pride. More than 70 winter teams compete across volleyball, football, netball, and basketball, alongside squads of surfers, fencers, mountain bikers, climbers, and cross-country runners. Others find their rhythm in yoga, the gym, or morning tennis sessions.

Remarkably, all of this takes place without dedicated sporting facilities, a testament to our students’ drive and the strength of our community spirit. Whether through after-school clubs, enrichment activities, field trips or weekend matches, Reddam House Sydney fosters the personal qualities and skills that help shape tomorrow’s leaders.

RH Sydney Visual Arts

Visual Arts

To complement our rigorous academic programme, students may pursue exciting avenues leading to creative expression and artistic immersion. The Reddam House Visual Arts Programme presents a rich tapestry of diverse art-making techniques. During fun, engaging art lessons, students are educated by skilled practitioners and specialists.

RH Sydney Performance Art

Performance Art

Whether students pursue dance as a curriculum-based subject or participate in movement classes as part of our enrichment programme, dance enthusiasts can expand their technical skills through various opportunities.

The HSC Dance Programme enables students to take this subject at a higher level, and our school is often selected to perform at "Callback", the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA) annual dance showcase.

RH Sydney Music

Music

The Reddam House Music Programme is integral to school life. It develops intellectual, physical and social abilities and establishes a vital link between self-discipline and success. Music unites academic, artistic and social endeavours in a way that not many other subjects can, and our music programme was founded to fulfil this long-term aim.

Our specialist classroom and performance staff collaborate as part of a thriving music department. Driven by a shared goal to nurture talent, music teachers actively seek out and cultivate skills to ensure all students reap the rewards of solo and group music making.

RH Sydney Sport

Sport

We wish to promote a lifelong love of sport and physical activity. Our philosophy is quite simple: get involved, work hard and have fun!

Students are encouraged to participate in a variety of sports from a young age before specialising in the pursuit that suits them best as they grow older. Our hope is that they will continue to practise their sport of choice once they leave school.
